# Link ID

> Find the numeric ID of a link, used by the Cal.com API, webhooks and support.

Every link has a numeric Link ID. You need it when you work with the Cal.com API, read webhook payloads, or when Cal.com support asks which link a question is about.

## How to find your Link ID

1. Go to **Links**.
2. Click the **⋯** menu next to the link you want and choose **Troubleshoot**.

![Troubleshoot option in the link's three-dot menu on the Links page](https://mintcdn.com/calcomhelp/IVNqNsb5_a3_i8fU/images/link-id/links-menu-troubleshoot.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=IVNqNsb5_a3_i8fU\&q=85\&s=53636eefbb74755733a662185cf24f08)

3. The troubleshooter opens with your link selected. Look at the URL in your browser's address bar. It looks like `app.cal.com/availability/troubleshoot?eventTypeId=3051982&date=2026-10-22`. The number after `eventTypeId=` is your Link ID, so in this example the Link ID is `3051982`.

> [!TIP]
>
> You can also open the troubleshooter from inside a link's settings: click **Open Troubleshooter** under **Need help?** in the left sidebar.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The address you see while editing a link (`/links/...`) is not the Link ID. It is a short identifier for the settings page only.

## Other places to find it

* **API:** [List event types](https://cal.com/docs/api-reference/v2/event-types/list-event-types) returns every link with its Link ID in the `id` field. In the API, links are called event types.
* **Webhooks:** booking [webhook](/help/webhooks.md) payloads include the Link ID as `eventTypeId`.
* **Old links:** URLs in the old `/event-types/<Link ID>` format still work and redirect to the link's settings.
